Cohen joined Utilizer early, straight out of the University of Melbourne with a BSc in Pure Mathematics and Informatics. Since then he has built the products and operational capabilities that shape how Utilizer works, including the company's utility management platform.

He joined the senior leadership team as a Director in 2022 and has led Strategic Operations and Growth since, arguing the customer's side in every decision about how the business runs. In April 2026 he launched the Empower Portal, built entirely in-house, which gives clients direct visibility of their contracts, usage and market position.

On LinkedIn, Cohen writes regularly about market mechanics, from default offers to tariff resets, and on what the numbers on an energy invoice mean for the business paying it.

Like everyone here, he works to the same standard: we disclose what we earn, we test the whole market, and we stay in the relationship after the contract is signed.
